The Roxy Theatre, owned and operated by the Owen Sound Little Theatre, is the premier regional destination for live theatre and music performances. Built in 1912, this historic soft-seat opera house accommodates 400 people, and is located in the Owen Sound’s historic downtown core.

The Owen Sound Little Theatre produces four productions annually – a fall musical and three non-musical plays. The OSLT also offers an annual Roxy Music Series, showcasing the best in contemporary Canadian music, and an annual family friendly Children’s Performance Series. The theatre is also rented out to numerous community groups and concert promoters throughout Ontario.

There is ample free after-hours parking within easy walking distance. The marquee offers prominent signage for announcing upcoming performances. The Roxy is air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible, and offers complimentary assisted listening devices for clients.

Owen Sound Little Theatre is a member of The Western Ontario Drama League, Theatre Ontario, The Grey-Bruce Cultural Network, CCI, The Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Improvement Area.

The Griffin Gallery

The lobby of the Roxy Theatre doubles as the Griffin Art Gallery, showcasing the artwork of a variety of talented local artists and art collectives. Enjoy a cocktail in this ambient setting which features rotating installations of fine art and photography available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artwork in the Griffin Gallery benefits the Owen Sound Little Theatre, a registered non-profit charitable organization. The Griffin Gallery is also available for rent for corporate meetings, parties and special events.

OSLT always welcomes new members. Try your hand at building a set, painting, learn lighting and sound techniques and operations. Or, better yet, come out to an audition and experience the thrill of applause or the satisfaction of stage management.
